Agroturismo S’Arbocar Hotelcheck

The dream of a farm holiday comes true at Finca Agroturismo S'Arbocar. As soon as we arrive, we are greeted by the cute donkeys with their ‘i-ah’ who live right next to the entrance to the finca together with a small white pony. On the way to the main house, we pass the vegetable garden, where the melons, pumpkins and tomatoes are just ripe. Guests at Finca S'Arbocar are welcome to help themselves here and enjoy the flavour of Mallorca fresh from the field. We continue past the farm's own chickens and ducks before arriving at the beautiful estate of Finca Agroturismo S'Arbocar.

Well-kept garden

The garden is immaculately maintained. Lush green lawns invite you to play in the shade of the tall palm trees, which are splendidly scattered around the property and exude a pure holiday atmosphere. There are flowers and greenery everywhere. The sound of sheep bells can be heard from the neighbouring field. Otherwise, you are guaranteed to hear nothing at the absolutely peaceful Finca Agroturismo S’Arbocar garantiert nichts. Heavenly!
 

To the left is the main house, where the twelve holiday flats are located. Today we are staying in the Son Avinent flat, which is located on the first floor of the building. The flats are all similarly furnished with wooden beamed ceilings, stone elements and a small modern kitchenette. The spacious bathrooms are modern with spacious walk-in showers.
 

Some of the flats at Agroturismo S'Arbocar also have a second bedroom with separate beds for accompanying children. Each flat has its own terrace. From our Son Avinent flat, we briefly enjoy the wonderful view of the neighbouring local mountain and the well-tended garden before continuing to explore the finca estate.

The modern pool, which is gently shallow and has a separate children's area, is also beautifully designed. Parents with children can enjoy their holidays at Finca S'Arbocar in complete relaxation, as the pool is a little out of the way, accessible via a few steps and fenced in so that it is safe for children. Adjacent to the pool is the pasture where the sheep graze and the tinkling of the sheep bells provides an ideal backdrop for a little daydream on the cosy sun loungers. 

We particularly like the adjoining large terrace, where there are plenty of cosy, shaded seating areas to spend pleasant evenings with the whole family or new holiday acquaintances. We immediately have to try out the great table tennis table, which is available for a sociable game, as well as a net for a round of volleyball.

Behind the main house, a little to the side, is the beautifully laid out barbecue area with cosy seating and both a brick pizza oven and a charcoal barbecue. Here guests can enjoy a cosy barbecue to round off the evening.

Almost limitless freedom

Rafael, who looks after the guests together with the owners Sylvie and Jaume, tells us: ‘We want the guests to feel at home. We from the team are personally at the hotel in the morning for breakfast and until around 2 pm. After that, we leave the finca because we want our guests to feel unobserved and enjoy their time with us as if they were at home. After all, there is no minder. And that's how it is here too. As long as other guests are not disturbed, there are no rules here. If you like, you can take a dip in the pool at night at your own risk or enjoy a cosy evening barbecue with other guests. But of course we are available around the clock. All guest requests are answered by mobile phone, even outside reception hours. I have just recommended the most beautiful bays along the east coast to guests and suggested a restaurant for the evening.’
 

The concept seems to work, because if you read our reviews, guests at Finca S'Arbocar enjoy both the freedom on the finca and the warm service of the hosts. Speaking of service: once a week, there is a real highlight for the young and old guests of the finca. This is when the tractor takes guests up the local mountain. The tractor ride is of course particularly popular with the finca's many younger guests. And the parents enjoy the magnificent view high above the finca. An event that makes children's hearts beat faster and has already resulted in a few holiday friendships. 

Good to know: Apart from the sumptuous and delicious breakfast, Finca Agroturismo S'Arbocar is a purely self-catering finca. However, if you like, you can place a small order with Rafael and have drinks, milk or coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine delivered the next day. You should bring your own soap, shower gel and shampoo.
 

Who is Finca Agroturismo S'Arbocar particularly suitable for?

As farm holidays are particularly popular with families, Agroturismo S'Arbocar is especially popular with guests with young children. With the numerous animals, the secure pool and the children's playground, they will find a wide range of activities for a relaxing holiday in the countryside. Couples also appreciate the quiet location and cosy flats. During the holiday periods, however, it can get a little busier due to the large number of families. In the low season, Agroturismo S'Arbocar would like to open in the winter months and offer guests comfortable self-catering flats with fast internet. So if you want to enjoy a few weeks of quiet life in winter on Mallorca, you will find a wonderful setting in the middle of nature here.

Good to know: Agroturismo S'Arbocar is a little out of the way. It takes about 10 minutes to drive past meadows and fields to the next village. Once you have made it this far, you are well placed to visit numerous coastal towns and beaches along the east coast. Due to the remote location around the hotel, there is guaranteed to be no noise or car noise - heavenly tranquillity and pure rural idyll are guaranteed at Agroturismo S'Arbocar.
