Location & first impression: Privileged with sea views in the north of Mallorca

One minute we are driving along the coast with a marvellous view of the picturesque bay of Pollença, and just a few moments later our gaze wanders over meadows and fields, natural stone walls and grazing sheep dozing in the sun. We reach the extensive grounds of the Hotel Llenaire, winding our way up the small hill through olive trees and holm oaks that provide pleasant shade.

Our car is parked in the free hotel car park, just a few steps away from the main building. And although we have stayed here many times before, we can't help but pause for a moment again: The view stretches far across the Mallorcan landscape to the deep blue sea glistening on the horizon, while a few white sailing boats cruise leisurely through the bay. It's a sight that touches us anew every time and immediately makes it clear why Hotel Llenaire is one of the best located country hotels on Mallorca.

Enjoyment with a view: terrace, restaurant & Mediterranean cuisine

After tearing ourselves away from this view, we follow the path to the picturesque, overgrown terrace with numerous seating areas and an unobstructed view of the coast. Starting the day here at breakfast inevitably makes you feel like you're in paradise.

The terrace also becomes the centre of the hotel at lunchtime and in the evening when the weather is fine. Finely balanced dishes such as croquettes, tartare, tender shoulder of lamb or freshly caught fish and seafood are served, accompanied by an excellently tempered glass of Mallorcan wine and the incomparable tranquillity that surrounds the rural Hotel Llenaire.

We love this place, which we ourselves love to visit time and time again for an enjoyable dinner: stylish, relaxed, with excellent cuisine and an atmosphere that invites you to consciously end the day.

Historic main house: elegance and tranquillity for generations

Upon entering the historic main house, which sits gracefully on the hill, it quickly becomes clear that the clocks tick more slowly here. The venerable property has been owned by the Colom family since the 1890s and has retained the charm of times long past. High ceilings, lovingly furnished lounges, cosy seating, antiques and fine carpets characterise the stylish ambience. The rooms and suites with massive four-poster beds, stone floors and wooden beamed ceilings convey a sense of security and the feeling of staying in a very special place.

Pool, garden & tennis: peace, space and a Mediterranean lifestyle

The centrepiece of Hotel Llenaire in the north of Mallorca is undoubtedly the beautifully designed pool, which is located slightly below the main house - naturally also with an unobstructed view of the coast. Crickets chirp, grasses rustle in the wind and otherwise there is a soothing silence. The hotel also has a well-tended garden and a tennis court. We particularly like the location, which always makes it clear that we are close to the sea, yet still enjoy the luxury of peace, space and privacy.

The sea within reach!

The coast is only about one kilometre away. Port de Pollença, one of our absolute favourite places by the sea, can be reached quickly. The bay can be almost completely circumnavigated on foot, past palm trees, small shops and restaurants. The town has deliberately avoided the big hotel chains and mass tourism, and this is precisely what makes Port de Pollença so charming. Even in summer, things are much quieter, more personal and more authentic here than in many other coastal towns on Mallorca.
