Looking for a small hotel directly on the beach, we found the Sofia Alcudia Beach, a small, modern beach hotel that is anything but a bed castle. The beautiful hotel is located directly in the bay of Alcudia, only a few steps separate the hotel from the sea. And that is truly perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. The finest sandy beach, which only slopes gently, and wonderfully clear water provide the ideal backdrop for a beautiful holiday. There is even a small spa area for relaxing moments.

Picturesque coastal resort

A little further up in the north is the somewhat smaller bay of Port Pollenca. It, too, delights with its fine sand and crystal-clear water. Port Pollenca is a little more tranquil and offers a picturesque harbour and a pretty pedestrian zone along the sea, lined with small restaurants, shops and bars.

Directly in the harbour of Port Pollenca is the restaurant Stay, where you can dine with breathtaking views of the bay. In addition to breakfast and reasonably priced lunches, the restaurant offers a fine menu of Mediterranean dishes in the evening. In summer you should reserve a table, because the breathtaking view and the good cuisine are very popular! At the Stay there are also numerous excursion boats, which offer boat trips along the coast. Every hour you can go by boat to Playa Formentor, where another great sandy beach with fantastic water quality and wonderful views awaits you.

If we come a little further north, we will find Cala Sant Vicenc, a small, hidden residential area. The picturesque bay is lined with rocks and pine trees. There are only a few hotels here - directly in the first sea line is the small Hotel Hoposa Niu directly on the fine beach. The small hotel has only 24 rooms - therefore, breakfast with a fantastic view of the bay is already wonderfully unexcited and relaxed. The water in the bay is crystal clear and ideal for snorkelling.

Sandy beaches and crystal clear water

In the neighbourhood, about a 5-minute walk from the sea, is the charming boutique Hotel Cala Sant Vicenc. The pretty villa in bright red houses 38 comfortable double rooms and suites and offers a beautiful pool in the well-kept garden with lush palm trees, which invites you to swim and relax. Several beaches can be easily reached on foot from here, and yet you can enjoy the wonderful peace and quiet and the wonderful view of the mountains at the Hotel Cala Sant Vicenc.

A beach hotel in the middle of nature

This location is truly privileged. The Es Blau des Nord Hotel in the north of Mallorca is located on one of the least built-up stretches of beach in Mallorca. There is no trace of mass tourism and bed castles. The east coast inspires by innumerable small bath bays. Sometimes a little wider, sometimes small and original - the choice is almost limitless. Some are easy to reach by car - and therefore highly frequented. Others are so pristine that they cannot be reached by car and can only be reached by a short walk through the terrain. There you will enjoy a little more peace and quiet and space around the towel.

Hidden bays

We especially like the Cala Torta. Admittedly, the journey to this small bay in the northeast of the island is a little difficult. In the last third we drive through some rough terrain, then a short walk follows. But once arrived, you will be thrilled by the small bathing bay that is framed on the left and on the right by picturesque rocks. The water is crystal clear. Especially the locals get lost here. There are no hotels - only a small rustic beach bar provides the guests with cool drinks and homemade food. Especially the seafood plate is to be recommended.

The Playa de Canyamel in the east of Mallorca is much better developed. Luxury hotels such as Can Simoneta have secured one of the coveted places on the edge of the bay directly in the first sea line and offer their guests a breathtaking panorama and heavenly peace away from mass tourism. The South - Caribbean beaches and family hotels

The south of Mallorca is on everyone's lips mainly because of its Caribbean beach Es Trenc. Turquoise blue, crystal clear water and the finest sandy beach make the holidaymaker's heart beat faster and give the feeling that you have landed directly in the Caribbean.

Only a few hundred metres away is the small, family hotel Villa Piccola by Cassai which awaits its guests with very warm and personal service and cosy apartments. Tip: Unfortunately, you have to say that the beach of Es Trenc is very well visited. Those who accept a small walk or come early in the morning or in the low season can enjoy all its beauty.

The Agroturismo Cantó de Marina between Campos and Ses Covetes on Mallorca is a very special country hotel. You can only walk about 900 metres to the sea.
