We recently visited the Fontsanta Hotel on Mallorca. The 5-star adults only country hotel is located in the tranquil south of the island. Passing meadows and fields and the windmills so typical of the region, we drive towards Campos, where the Fontsanta Hotel is located near the salt works. The heavy iron gate opens to reveal the beautiful avenue of palm trees, beautiful planting and water features that lead to the main house.

Art & Relaxation

The garden of the Adults Only Hotel on Mallorca is very well maintained and laid out like a park. Lush pine trees provide shade around the pool at the main house. Tall grasses, cypresses, fragrant lavender and rosemary adorn the paths. Comfortable daybeds with ample shaded areas invite you to relax. A little further away from the main house is a second pool, which promises peace and relaxation with its breathtaking far-reaching view. The highlight is the three whirlpools, which are hidden behind tall grasses at the back of the garden and offer maximum privacy. If you like, you can retreat here in complete privacy with a good book and let your soul dangle. There are works of art all over the property and in the building, ensuring that even after a few days at the Fontsanta Hotel, you will always discover something new.

Shuttle to Es Trenc beach

The hotel staff attentively looks after the guests who are relaxing by the pool or have taken a seat at the bar in the beautiful garden. Every wish is fulfilled as far as possible, Carol from the hotel management explains to us. Whether private transfers from the airport, excursions or the daily shuttle to Es Trenc, which takes the discerning hotel guests along a private path directly to the quieter centre of the popular beach. Here, exclusively for Fontsanta guests, there is also a small house - the Refugi d'Es Trenc - where hotel beachgoers can retreat and enjoy cool drinks and fruit. Around three times a day, the new service of the luxury hotel on Mallorca is offered and it is gratefully accepted by the guests.

Cosy rooms & suites

Carol shows us the rooms, which are spread over the main house and two other buildings. All rooms have modern interiors, natural colours and materials. A pleasant climate, a modern lighting concept and pleasant smells are in the air and ensure that a very cosy and calm feeling spreads inside the houses. From the beautiful terraces we enjoy a great view partly into the garden, partly far over the neighbouring salt pans, where Mallorca's white gold is extracted nearby.

SPA area & yoga

In the main building is the spa area, to which the Fontsanta owes its reputation far beyond the borders of Mallorca. The Fontsanta is the only hotel on the Balearic Islands with a natural thermal spring. The spa area is spacious and modern. A beautiful indoor pool, sauna, steam bath and a modern fitness room provide relaxation and exercise. Every morning - except Sundays - yoga is also offered for guests at Fontsanta.

We fell in love with the beautiful garden, especially in the back area around the restaurant. Everything is beautifully overgrown and a wonderful light filters through the leaves of the trees in this part of the garden. Guests have the choice of dining here or inside the cosy restaurant by the fireplace. Every Wednesday evening there is a barbecue with live music for guests.

For whom is the Fontsanta Hotel the right hotel?

Even though the Fontsanta is a 5-star hotel, it is by no means stiff. The Fontsanta Hotel is a place for discerning guests who are looking for a pleasant and unobtrusive environment to relax and enjoy. The attentive hotel staff make every guest feel at home from the very first minute.

One small drawback very noise-sensitive guests might see is the nearby street. We must honestly say that you can definitely hear the road, depending on the wind direction and traffic volume. However, we also noticed that after a short time it was no longer so noticeable and instead the overall quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel clearly prevailed. The water fountains, which ripple comfortably throughout the hotel, also ensure that the few street noises quickly fade into the background. For guests seeking peace and quiet, we recommend the double rooms with patio. Although they do not have a view, they do have a very private and sheltered patio terrace, which virtually eliminates ambient noise.

During our visit, we found that many guests enjoyed the heavenly atmosphere in the hotel and by the pool. The Fontsanta Hotel is ideal for those who want to relax and pamper themselves at the highest level while appreciating culinary delights.
